For our Semester 3 project, our team was tasked with a rebranding
assignment for a real client: Xtreme Computers. The client came
to us wanting a fresh, modern look that would help them reach more potential customers
and better connect with today’s audience. As part of the rebrand,
they chose a new name: Go IT.
I took on the role of Team Leader and Designer. I was in charge of organizing
the planning process, keeping communication clear between the team and the client, and contributing
to the visual side of the rebrand. This included everything from logo
concepts and color palettes to typography choices and
overall brand identity.
We used a Design Thinking approach, starting with research and asking the
client the right questions to really understand what they wanted and who they
were trying to reach. From there, we created mood boards, sketches, and
design concepts, and refined them based on their feedback.
The final result was a bold, modern brand identity that included:
- A new logo
- Carefully chosen typography and colors
- Realistic mockups and business cards
- A fully detailed brand guide with everything the client needs to keep their visual identity consistent
- On top of that, we also prototyped a new website design in Figma and then built it using WordPress, which was the client’s preferred CMS platform.
